Ok, its getting colder - enough of the motorcycle stuff for now. On our way home from our motorcycle adventure we stopped by Sherman-Dennison TEXAS for the NATIONAL AEROBATIC CHAMPIONSHIPS. This was late September. I once again was the Boxmaster, Technical Inspector and Starter. It was a great week seeing old friends and making new ones. For the second time straight Rob Holland won the National Championship. Way to go Rob! We also selected the Unlimited Team for the World Aerobatic Championship next year right here in the USA.
After we got home it was only a couple weeks and I was off again for The fall Borrego Springs Aerobatic Contest. We had great weather, I camped out on the Airport and watched the metor showers in the early hours of the morning.
A short three weeks later it was off to AZ for the last contest of the season - the Tequila Cup in Marana. At this contest I assisted the Judges in all catagories by calling out the aerobatic figures during the flights. Had a great time as usual and did not want the season to end.
Now I am home... working on the Aeronca again. I have finished her - just waiting for the Annual Inspection to be signed off... I dropped my Inspection Authorization last year (dumb move) so now someone else has to sign her off. Then its time to FLY.... yipee!!
The Pitts Project.... eheheheheh... somthing in the works the first week in DEC. Stay tuned.. I am STOKED!! I will post pictures when it happens...
For Thanksgiving Chrissy and I will drive down to Terre Haute Indiana to enjoy dinner at my sister Penny's home, then spend a day with family - maybe flying brother Curt's warbird Aeronca... Thats it for the moment - Over & Out..
