Part 5 - On to Coldfoot

So, we cruise on into Coldfoot where we must naviagte through several fields of thick mud and 18 wheelers to get to the fuel pump.  There are a line of motorcycles waiting, we get in line.  Gas is pretty expensive up here at almost seven bucks a gallon.

After fueling up our machines we head for the cafe.  It is full of truckers.  We order the burgers and fries - cheapest things on the menu at $18.00.  The burger was very good - I'd have another one on the way back.    Across the muddy road was the motel... at $180 bucks a night - we decided to move on down the road another 240 miles to Deadhorse - surly we would make it before midnight... and who cares anyway - the sun never sets up here this time of year.  So... full of fuel and burgers, it's kickstands up and off we go down an ever increasenly rougher dirt road... time to head N into the Brooks Range and Agian Pass (I probably speeled that wrong).    Oh yes, at this point we also filled up our spare gas cans - as there are no more fuel stops between Coldfoot and Deadhorse...  OK, for the moment it's Over & Out!
