Borrego Aerobatic Contest

I got the Aeronca engine back together and running GREAT!
Katie and I flew out to Calyfornia for the Borrego Springs Aerobatic Contest last week. Katie was the VC (Volunteer Coordnator) and I did my usual Starter job along with being the Chief Technical Monitor. The weather sucked - the winds blew about 30 mph steady and we had rain on the first day. We still completed the contest and had a great time.
The photo is of by buddy Mike Eggen who flys the Lazer behind him. He kicked ass in Advanced.. well, kind of...

In three more weeks I head back out to Calyfornia to the Apple Valley Aerobatic Contest "Duel in the Dessert".
I got the Aeronca all cowled up and ready to take out to the airport. I will be bringing back the Pitts fuselage to my shop to start work on it. I still have to finish painting the Wings and Tail sections of the Aeronca before we can assemble and fly her.... should be flying before the end of the month. Over and Out!
