My favorite website is Advrider.com. A website for motorcycle adventure riders around the world. My favorite thing about this website is that it is so International. You can communicate with other motorbikers all over the world.
I have been communicating with Ouoc Dat, a fellow from Vietnam who restored his motorbike and then toured his country on it for a month. Very nice fellow who writes in english very well. It was nice to see pictures of of his country. Vietnam is very beautiful and has such a vivid and storied history. Most of my friends know I spent all of 1968 there. Not a happy time for me or the Vietnamese people. I would love to visit Vietnam again under better circumstances. Maybe someday I will.
Chrissy leaves for California on Sunday for a week of military duty. She will drive down and visit Katie while she is there. I am in Minnesota all this week preparing for my B747-400 class in Atlanta. The plan is to load up my DR650 on our motorbike trailer and drive down to Atlanta on the 9th. It should take a couple days to get there. I will get a motel somewhere way South of Atlanta and ride it to work every day then on the weekends hit the dirt backroads of Georgia and checkout all the rural airports.
