Pitts Progress

So, its Friday.. here is where the Pitts stands:  All of the sheet metal is back from the chemical stripper - they done a GREAT job.  I have installed new lexan side panels just forward of the cockpit (for aerobatic box purposes).  I finished the tailwheel installation, and finished the fuselage through silver.

After inspection we determined the turtledeck was not satisfactory.  Flaws in the wood turtledeck from previous damage were still visible - not bad but still visible.  I was also not happy with my fabric work on the fuselage (the wings were pretty damn good).  Soooo.. I tore the fuselage fabric back off and removed the offending turtledeck for more work.

Currently - Chrissy is installing a nice access panel on the bottom of the fuselage.  We are repairing and modifying the turtledeck.  I have finished work on the lower right wing panel, covered the wing with fabric, applied the first coat of poly-brush and now it is ready for rib-stiching.

This comming week:  We will finish the turtledeck, re-install and recover the fuselage thru silver coats.  We will finish the lower right wing through silver coats.  That's it for now - Over & Out.
