Pitts Project - Day 17

Christmas day.  Today Chrissy and I sanded down the turtledeck.  Whoever had originally covered it failed to put enough varnish on and it appeared to be poly-tacked in place because it pulled a lot of wood out of the deck when the fabric was removed.  Chrissy made repairs and we sanded to a smooth finish and added two coats of spar varnish.  After the varnish dries I will cover the fuselage from the turtledeck aft to the vertical post.  I also did some work on the Instrument panel so the Altimeter would fit better.  Tomarrow I'll do some work on the firewall.  Over & Out!
