Katie and I have been working hard on covering the Aeronca control surfaces. She is really good at this - very precise and takes her time - unlike me. We finally got the Pitts S1SS wing plans from Steen AeroLab and Chrissy built this nice workbench to build our lower wings on - but in the meantime Katie and I will use it to finish the Aeronca control surfaces.
Well, if the weather cooperates, I'll go pick up the Pitts and fly her home sometime around the first week in January - then I have things to do on her - fix the canopy which is hard to open - remove the side and lower cockpit panels to install lexan and paint the inside panels white - remove and modify the Instrument panel for aerobatics - then It's practice time with the goal of placing well (if not winning) in the Nationals this year - but that is a lofty goal - not flying any contests for quite a few years... we'll se how it goes..
