Back in the Saddle again. It's been a while and I let myself get a bit outta shape. So I am back on the bike - not motorbike. Above is a picture of me during my 2006 vacation which I rode my fully loaded custom bicycle from Bozeman MT down through Yellowstone National Park and on down to the Tetons and back. About 500 miles in a week or so - not a big trip, but a very nice one and I had a great time.
I have always dreamed of riding my bicycle from coast to coast but of course my work never has allowed me enough time to do so. But retirement is comming - and I just may still do it. I'm starting out slow - just riding about 10 miles a night, combined with a 2 mile brisk walk. Next month I will add in weight training (just like in the old days). I am feeling much better already and dropped 4 pounds in the first 2 weeks. I am at 165 and should reach my old weight of 160 by the end of the month.
I am currently in Green Bay WI - doing some Inoperative Indicator Fueling Procedures training for our fuelers here. Will be headed back to Dixie tomarrow. 10 more days till vacation - yipee!
Chrissy is in her van with her motorcycle on the trailer behind her - she is headed down to Atlanta again to get ready for our vacation.. that's it for now... Over & Out!
